ABOUT SHELBY


Shelby began her yoga journey over 20 years ago. As a certified fitness instructor at the time, she was drawn to yoga for the physicality of certain styles of yoga. Some of the benefits, such as improved strength, flexibility, and balance were certainly helpful; however, it was many of the other mind-body benefits, including improved mental focus, stress relief, and a sense of feeling more centered at the end of classes, that kept her coming back.

Shelby completed her first yoga teacher training in 2006 with Seven Petals Wellness and Sarah Kaczor Greco, training in Hatha yoga with a focus on the Vinyasa style. She has been fortunate to continue her yoga and fitness training with many respected programs and teachers, including earning 200-hr and 300-hr Yoga Teacher Training certifications with YogaWorks, Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Jillian Pransky, and Accessible Yoga Training.

Shelby's strengths include a thorough understanding of alignment within yoga poses that allows her to provide safe and welcoming classes for students of all levels. She is able to offer variations of poses to accommodate different body types and abilities, ensuring that each student feels comfortable and supported during their practice. She strives to create an environment that fosters mindfulness, growth, and self-awareness for all students through yoga and mindful movement.
